Our story

My grandfather, José Moura de Almeida, was a remarkable composer — an artist in the deepest sense of the word. His music soothed souls and hearts.

Our Story

ORPHIC was founded by Alfredo Moura — composer, arranger, conductor, music producer, researcher, and faculty professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).

Built through decades of experience in music, artistic creation, education, recording, orchestration, and cultural research, ORPHIC emerged from the desire to unite refined listening, artistic depth, receptive music, and contemporary digital experiences within a single independent platform.

The project brings together music, research, emotional listening, and aesthetic sophistication through digital publications, immersive audio works, musicological studies, and contemplative sonic experiences designed for listeners around the world.

Inspired by the symbolic legacy of Orpheus — music as transformation, sensitivity, and human connection — ORPHIC seeks to create meaningful artistic experiences that combine creativity, emotional resonance, and intellectual integrity.
